ORNITHOLOGIC PARK

Enter the natural environment of birds created by André Lamouroux, a nature lover, 4 kilometres from Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer… Hundreds of pink flamingos are born and live in this sensitive natural area that is the Parc Ornithologique du Pont de Gau. Ponds, sunbeds, lawns, reedbeds, reedbeds and marshes… the diversity of habitats favours a multitude of bird species: storks, ducks, waders, teals, birds of prey, passerines, herons, egrets….
This wildlife care centre aims to raise awareness among young and old about nature conservation. Every year, 600 injured birds are taken in.

7 kilometres of walks await you close to the wildlife, lulled by the song of the birds. Observatories nestled in the heart of marshes make it easier for photographers to take pictures. Notice to explorers, playful panels line the trails and provide valuable information on wildlife and ornithology.

During your holidays at the hotel in Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer in the Camargue, treat yourself to a total change of scenery in a wild and poetic space. A real break to disconnect and recharge your batteries in the heart of nature.
